All sites with a demand greater than 100 KiloVoltAmps (Kva)(equates to 300,000 units per annum) require a profile meter (quarter hour metering). These meters record electricity consumption for every quarter hourly period throughout the day and night. The data is remotely retrieved via a modem and validated by ESB Networks using MV90 software. Customers that qualify for quarter hour metering are not charged for the cost of installing and maintaining these meters.
